GM Tech Talk it's our new alternative UA-cam channel. We made it based on the many years of experience of Uffe Nielsen - the CEO of Grafisk Maskinfabrik, who demonstrates the technical aspects of the GM finishers and converters to a large group of professional recipients from the label industry. GM Tech Talk is the natural continuation of Uffe 's publications and will continue to develop under his leadership.
On the GM Tech Talk will be present not only the machines themselves but also technical issues related to the labels’ finishing and flexible packaging.

It would be nice to have another person holding the camera and also show a clean make-ready, ink up, print several hundred feet or meters. Then shut down, cleanup and new make ready. I appreciate the effort, but as a person seriously trying to understand the technology, more detail would be helpful.

@@uffenielsengm Hi Uffe, I have actually purchased RSI III unit which is going on our MPS EXL-680 inline packaging press. The press will be delivered in December of 2022. We have safety people within our organization that are trying to understand rotary screen as it is a different process that what they are used to. SPGPrints does not have any videos and linked me to your video. Understanding yours is an older unit, but general operation process should be the same. I was hoping to see a little more detail to allow our safety people make plans for safety process.

Why use a varnish before foiling it ? Can we not apply foil directly? Also is there spot foil transfer solutions like conventional cold foil transfer?
Thanks for your question! Cast-and-cure is NOT a foil. Rather, the film is applied on top of a UV coating and then peeled away, leaving the holographic pattern. That's what makes this so application so eco-friendly--no film (or foil) is left on the packaging! Moreover, the waste foil, after it's used multiple times, is also recyclable.
